Bio: Michael was born in Indianapolis and had a pretty uneventful childhood. Michael went to Crooked Creek Elementary where in
his Fifth Grade Year was a member of the first TV morning announcements team at that school.
He then went to Westlane Middle School where he met future partner Ben Pitts.
The two directed the smash hit The Wetlands Video in their sixth grade year.
It wasn't until his seventh grade year though that he met funny-guy Chris Howe, another future partner. In eighth grade, he enrolled in a video class, where he learned most of what he knows now. He directed several commercials such as the Riley Hospital Commercial and the never before seen Fall Sports
Video. He soon became Technical Director for the WL Morning News. He won Best Technical Director Award for the position he won during that same year he directed the ill-fated
Children's Film Fest Project along with Pitts, Ian Kistler, Hannah Phillips, Holly Styron, and Brittany Phillips, as well
as the Faculty Appreciation Video. His real success came however when he
did all of the work on the Behind the Music: WL Concert Band skit in the Eighth Grade Graduation Video. He, Pitts, and Robert Thomas Produced the end product, which broke new ground on what a graduation video
should be. He and Pitts, along with Howe then founded Jetset Pictures in the
summer of '01. Michael's learning process was not over yet though. In the summer of 2002, he was a student for one week of the New York Film
Academy's school at Universal Studios Los Angeles. There he
wrote, directed, and hand-edited his film gone. In the process he worked on a
film by Eric Hanson of Chicago, had a role as a mugger in a film by Dane Pollock of New York, and helped with
several others. Warshauer has worked on several film projects including Playing
to Win, and Déjà vu, as well as BEZ in NYC. Currently he is working on a film
called "March Madness." He has also been involved with WFYI, serving on their
youth advisory board for the locally produced segments of the childrens show "Zoom". In
the summer of 2004, Michael made two films at a course at Indiana State. He hopes to continue
being in the movie business for the rest of his life.
